Production Control System
Overview
A production management system offered by DIASYS Netmation can support monitoring and control over production facilities in several different areas to increase production efficiency.
When users want to add a new facility or change facility operation, they can modify the system on their own to reduce the cost of the system modification.
Features
- Rich monitoring and operational functions
DIASYS Netmation enables efficient operation of production facilities with management support functions as well as various monitoring and operational functions including an energy visualization function and a remote monitoring function.
- Collaborating with systems from other vendors
DIASYS Netmation can work together with systems from other vendors easily without extra cost.
System Configuration
- Operator Station
Equipment used for monitoring and operation: An OPS is used to monitor and operate the system by using graphic screen displays, trend displays, alarm displays, and so on.
- Accessory Station
Equipment used for collecting data: An ACS manages manufacturing data collected from on-site manufacturing equipment and outputs the data in reports.
- Engineering & Maintenance Station
Equipment for maintenance: An EMS is used for maintenance work such as creating and modifying logic and graphic screens, configuring the system settings, and so on.
- Compact Process Station
Local controllers: MPS units interface with and control on-site manufacturing equipment and perform a variety of operation processing tasks.
Examples of functions
Monitoring and Operation
- Centralized monitoring
DIASYS Netmation provides centralized monitoring of production equipment at sites controlled by two or more Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) from third parties. Based on the signals each PLC receives, DIASYS Netmation can manage factory operation as a whole, including setup of production plans and feedback of management information.
- Alarm display
When an equipment failure occurs, alarms are displayed in real time to help early detection of the failure. In addition, alarm occurrence and recovery history for each piece of equipment can be displayed. DIASYS Netmation also has the following functions to help analyze the root cause of the failure. The "automatic alarm message function" displays the list of alarms horizontally in chronological order on the monitor screen with the name and occurrence and recovery time of each alarm. The "failure alarm list screen" displays occurrence and recovery of the alarms for each item in chronological order.

- Alarm notification
With an alarm notification function that uses the Internet or PHS, an operator can quickly take corrective action against the equipment failure even when the operator is not at the site.
- Trend display
The production status of a product, the operation status of facilities, and failure signals are managed by using trend information. DIASYS Netmation also has the "lot-wise trend function" which allows management of each lot. This function displays trends from the beginning to the end for each lot.
Management support function
- Reports
Reports are managed by using the optimum format for each user. You can select daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports. If you use a snapshot CSV and a trend CSV as the data used for a report, you can summarize production data and operation data from the beginning to the end for each lot into a lot report. Based on an event CSV, you can also create a file in which all the alarm items are listed for each month.

- Production plan management
You can operate a factory systematically by setting up product types, quantities, working patterns, and the like for each day, week, or month.
- Energy consumption rate management
DIASYS Netmation can manage energy consumption rates on a graphic screen or a trend screen by using control logic to process the signals received from third party PLCs.
- Maintenance record display
The equipment information and maintenance record of each piece of equipment you entered in the maintenance screen of the engineering tool can be displayed, as well as the operating time for each piece of equipment. You can also generate an alarm when maintenance is due based on a predefined maintenance cycle.
- Weekly timer setting
You can set the start time for each piece of on-site production equipment to eliminate waste of resources in facility operation.
Examples of optional functions
- Energy Visualization
Rich monitoring and analysis functions facilitate efficient operation and energy saving. Those functions include consumption rate calculation, energy usage display, conversion to CO2, and comparison of operation status of facilities based on Gantt chart.
- Remote Monitoring Function
You can check production status in other buildings in a factory by using a remote monitoring function by way of the Internet. The communication protocol was designed for monitoring, and even with analog telephone lines, display is as fast as on an operator station (OPS) at the site.
