Facility Control System
Overview
DIASYS Netmation offers a facility management system that can provide safe and efficient operation of air conditioning and utility facilities at a factory or building.
When users want to add a new facility or change facility operation, they can modify the system on their own to reduce the cost of the system modification.
Features
- Various control functions facilitating energy-saving operation
DIASYS Netmation can offer optimum energy-saving operation for each facility by making good use of schedule control, demand control, and automatic control.
- Improving safety and efficiency
DIASYS can monitor and control lighting equipment, heat sources, air conditioning equipment, utility equipment, power equipment, and the like to enable safe and efficient facility management.
- Collaborating with systems from other vendors
DIASYS Netmation can work together with systems from other vendors easily without extra cost.
System Configuration
- Operator Station
Equipment used for monitoring and operation: An OPS is used to monitor and operate the system by using graphic screen displays, trend displays, alarm displays, and so on.
- Engineering & Maintenance Station
Equipment for maintenance: An EMS is used for maintenance work such as creating and modifying logic and graphic screens, configuring the system settings, and so on.
- Accessory Station
Equipment used for collecting data: An ACS manages manufacturing data collected from on-site manufacturing equipment and outputs the data in reports.
- Compact Process Station
Local controllers: MPS units interface with and control on-site manufacturing equipment and perform a variety of operation processing tasks.
Examples of functions
Monitoring and Operation
- Integrated monitoring
DIASYS Netmation provides centralized monitoring of subsystems such as lighting and air conditioning. You can use the collected operation data as feedback for efficient operations.
- Scheduled start/stop control
Air conditioning equipment, lighting equipment, and the like can be grouped together based on their areas and can be automatically turned on and off according to a predefined start/stop pattern.
- Demand monitoring and control
Input electric power is integrated to predict the demand every 30 minutes. If the predicted demand surpasses the predefined upper limit, DIASYS Netmation can display an alarm message and perform load rejection control based on priority.
- Power failure and recovery control
Facility equipment can be automatically shut down and restarted when the commercial power supply fails and then recovers.
- Alarm display
When equipment failure occurs, real-time alarms are displayed to help early detection of the failure. In addition, the alarm occurrence and recovery history for each piece of equipment can be displayed.

- Alarm notification
With an alarm notification function that uses the Internet or PHS, an operator can quickly take corrective action against the equipment failure even when the operator is not at the site.
- Trend display
The operation status of equipment and failure signals are managed by using trend information. Two types of trends can be displayed: the real time trend for a maximum of 24 hours and the historical trend for a maximum of 30 days.
Management support function
- Reports
Reports are managed by using an optimum format for each user. You can select daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly reports. You can also create a file in which all the alarm items are listed for each month.
- Maintenance assistance
The integrated operation time and the total number of startups are displayed for the facility to assist maintenance. If one of those numbers surpasses the predefined value, you can display an alarm message.
Examples of optional functions
- Energy Visualization
Rich monitoring and analysis functions facilitate efficient operation and energy saving. Those functions include consumption rate calculation, energy usage display, conversion to CO2, and comparison of operation status of facilities based on Gantt chart.
- Remote Monitoring Function
You can check production status in other buildings in a factory by using a remote monitoring function by way of the Internet. The communication protocol was designed for monitoring, and even with analog telephone lines, display is as fast as on an operator station (OPS) at the site.
